....cos that would be boring!!

Q: Will there be a dinner on the Saturday night for those staying over?
A: Not a group dinner as there are 90 people in the whole tournament and many are staying over and that would be very difficult to manage efficiently. The idea is that we eat in the venue by booking tables as smaller collectives. There will be some activities in the evening for interested parties - more details on that as soon as they are finalised. Table reservations can be made for lunchtime and evening food and pre-choosing requirements will make it a lot easier for the venue to manage our requirements.

Q: Is it true that there will be waiter service during the tournament live periods for drinks?
A: Yes the venue have currently agreed to offer that facility as and when possible.

Q: Will there be Backstage Groupies, Beer, Curry and Pepto Bismal?
A: The only Groupies I am aware of are the umpires. Help yourselves! Beer yes. Curry yes. Pepto Bismal....unlikely!!

FoW Specific FAQ's

Q: From the list of scenarios will all players play the same 5 or will each player end up playing a random 5 from the list, based on the table they end up on?
A: Players will play 5 scenarios out of the list.....they will not all play the same scenario mix simultaneously. The table you are allocated decides the scenario you will play. Indeed you may end up playing a scenario more than once but that is unlikely and we will seek to avoid that.

Q: Does the unit in Ambush have to be declared at the start of the game?
A: No. However it must be written in the space provided in the score sheet at the appropriate time to avoid any uncertainty once the game has commenced.

Q: Why this is here: "If you have to keep troops back in reserve, then you should nominate before rolling". Why is this needed? As far I know its not requirement in the rules and seems a bit odd if your rolling 3 dice and must choose ahead of time for each dice. It changes the dynamic quite a bit.
A: This only applies when rolling for Scattered Reserves when looking at arrival location. Sorry for the ambiguity.

Q: Been playing against Germans recently and the usual rules problem keeps cropping up, i.e. Tiger CinC warrior saves to another tank. Which ace skills are transferred?
A: All Company Commanders are warriors and take their skills with them. They have to go to a team of the same type obviously.

Q: "The showing of your list to your opponent before a game is compulsory if asked for." How is this going to work in regards to the two list element?
A: Players see the draw and get allocated a table. Upon arrival they observe the terrain and the scenario they will be playing. Each individual decides whether they are taking their A or B list. Then once both have declared and written their chosen list in the space on the score sheet provided they can then ask to see their opponents chosen list.

Q: Will you allow PDF Army Lists?
A: Yes as long as they are Battlefront Approved Official lists and not ones still under review.

Q: Trench Fight - preparing for battle 6. Attacker starts at least 16" back from centre line but the plan (page 219) shows the attacker 24" back from centre line. Which is correct? Are the defenders fortifications placed anywhere on the table up to 8" into the attackers half of the table (implied in the text) but the plan shows all the fortifications are deployed only on the attackers side of the table up to 8" in - ie none in the defenders half of the table?
A: The clarification from BF in MLFTF for deployment is that the arrow should extend to the centre line i.e. 16 back from the centre line so the text is correct. The fortification may be deployed anywhere in the Defenders half of the table and up to 8" into the Attackers half (otherwise there would be a lot of empty trenches!).

Q: Can i bring an Axis and an Allied army to Corrivalry to avoid Blue on Blue games?
A: Very sorry but no. WIth 124 army lists to check with just and Axis or Allied army per player it would be a bridge too far to increase that!!

Q: For the scenarios that are held in fortifications that do not have to be in the army list, will they be provided as I have no fortifications whatsoever?
A: Yes for tables that have fortifications, over and above any in an army list fortifications, they will be provided by the organisers.

Q: If I pick a guards heavy assault gun company of 4 ISU-152s for 490 points and then swap it to a guards heavy assault gun company of 4 ISU-122s for 500 points, is that a 10 point change or a 500 point change?
A: It is a 500 point change.

Q: What if you have 10 T-34 obr 1942 for 470 points with the 'upgrade' of 5 of them to T-34/85 obr 1942 for another 100 points count towards a company of 10 T-34/85 obr 1942 for 625? i.e. is it a 625 point change from 5 85s and 5 76s to 10 85s or is it a 55 point change?
A: It is a 625 point change.

Q: In a River Crossing mission when teams are crossing the river they have a 5+ save, but if you have half your teams are in the river and half out what is to stop you just allocating hits to teams NOT in the river (and just using their regular 3+ save)?
A: You have to allocate to teams most easily killed first so the first hits are allocated to teams in the river.

Q: What are the guidelines for placing bunkers - i.e. no sticking them in silly places like blocking the end of bridges because they are impassable terrain and cheaper than a tank ditch...?
A: As a general rule bunkers cannot be used to create or block defiles. Bunkers cannot be placed on roads as this would cut communications for your own side. Also they cannot be placed in rivers streams and other impassible terrain.
